Remi and his dad, Bob, were playing in the backyard on a sunny Saturday morning. "Let's play hide and seek, Dad!" Remi exclaimed.
They counted to ten, and then Remi dashed off to find the perfect hiding spot.
Just as Bob was about to find him, their neighbor, Bingalacka, peeked over the fence and asked, "Can I join in?" They happily agreed.
As they played, they decided to make the game more challenging by venturing into the nearby woods.
Remi hid behind a big oak tree, holding his breath so no one would hear him.
Suddenly, he heard rustling from the tree.
He peeked around and saw the branches moving as if they had a life of their own!
He called out to Dad and Bingalacka, and they hurried over.
To their surprise, all the trees in the woods were alive!
The trees giggled and whispered to each other, playing their own game of hide and seek.
The three of them were amazed.
Bingalacka, who had a vibrant imagination, said, "I've always suspected these woods held a magical secret!" The group played with the trees, taking turns hiding and seeking.
